Simple Character Animation Simulated with Real Life by an Animator

Animation is meant for bringing the virtual characters on the screen that gives the look and feel of real life. And this job is done by an animator. Animation can be done in two ways- 2D and 3D. 3D animation looks more realistic than 2D as a third dimension is added in it. But both technique have equal importance at their place. An animator needs to design the character according to the user requirement depending upon the project., from advertising to educational and more.Visit Simple Character Animation website to know more.

The characters may differ from their personality as compared to other characters like some are tall, long, short, or their facial expressions. These personalities makes them unique. For example in Tom and Jerry cartoon, a cat named Tom have its unique identity, body language, and whole body that differs from any other similar characters. Animator works with clients and other team members to discuss and determine personality of each character. Character designing also requires the story line background to give depth to it.

The animator will make use of his skills and implements the characteristics by analyzing in depth and then finally convert it into their body behavior, facial expressions and movements. For example using different color shading and lines to represent different body parts like soft lines denotes gentleness etc.

Following are the some important tips to improve your character animation:
1. Observe Real-life characters: Just put yourself in place of a character and observe what activities you are supposed to do by yourself and depicts the same thing in the character himself. All these activities will help you to get better understanding about motion timing, weight etc. Observe every thing around you.

2. Study the psychology of movement: Study the purpose of motion and other activities. Observe what is the intention of a particular activity. Know about the purpose what we do and why we do.

3. Take reference of your own: While recording the voice, the voice over artist records it and leave other things to animator. An animator then make the facial expressions as they speak and emote. Take reference of your face and speak up the words and create a series of expressions to start with.

4. Don’t try to imitate every letter in speech: When animating the mouth, is is not a good practice to co-ordinate every letter with the speech. Because in real life life also we observe that not every letter is physically coordinated with lips. By doing this an organic flow of movement is formed through out the sentence.
